Historical place. Bridge destroyed by the Germans to stop the allies using it.

Hidden WW2 gem. This bridge was destroyed as the Germans retreated in 1945. Huge blocks of stone! Really cool to look at but you cannot climb on anything.

(Translated by Google) Highly Recommended. A free reminder of bad times. Take a look at this place before anyone else comes up with the idea to charge entry for it. The place made history and pretty much the last historical place where no money is collected. (Original) Absolut empfehlenswert.

(Translated by Google) The Hindenburg Bridge was a railway bridge across the Rhine between Rüdesheim and Bingen, the bridge was commissioned in 1915 and destroyed in World War II. The bridge was named in 1918 by Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg who later became German President. See well the remains of it both on land and in the Rhine.

(Translated by Google) The beauty of these ruins is not their past, but their present as an NSG and flora-fauna habitat. The campsite next door is perfect for ornithologists and / or reptile lovers and you can cast your fishing rod in the Rhine. Add Rüdesheimer wine and the short vacation is perfect.
